Based in Toome, Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, we started life as a sheet roofing family business in 1965. Over time, and built on a gratified client foundation, our services have evolved and expanded through the many projects we have worked on. We now operate three divisions: Contracts, Metalworks and Maintenance & Refurbishment.

From the conceptual design to the post-construction stage, our Contracts team can offer turn-key design, supply, and installation services for a variety of different envelope systems, such as; Flat Roofing, Metal Roofing, Wall Cladding, Facades, and Envelope Refurbishment.

Our Metalworks team specialise in the design, fabrication and installation of various bespoke and architectural metalworks products and systems, including; Handrails, Column Casings, Staircases, Mezzanine Flooring, and much more. Our in-house manufacturing facility also supplies specialised envelope components, enabling shortened lead-in times and enhanced quality control.

Our maintenance and refurbishment department covers the asset management stage of the project, providing a comprehensive envelope maintenance service throughout Northern Ireland. Offering both contractual and emergency call-out maintenance, using Thornton, quality is assured as one of the most experienced contractors in the industry.
